With “Somebody Up There Likes Me,” the film about the 50-year career of the legendary guitarist of the Rolling Stones will be released on October 09. The film about Ronnie Wood was directed by Oscar-nominated director Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas). The film ran at both the BFI London Film Festival 2019 and the Tribeca Film Festival 2020. The documentary features brand new interviews with the companions of Ronnie Wood, such as his Rolling Stones colleagues Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts, as well as his bandmate of Faces, Rod Stewart. Other interviewees include Woods wife Sally Wood, singer Imelda May and artist Damien Hirst, as well as current performances and archive material from Woods’ moving career. “Somebody Up There Likes Me” is released as DVD, Blu-ray and a limited deluxe edition. The formats include all bonus performances of Ronnie as well as two mini-features. The deluxe format is a limited 40-page hardcover special with pictures, paintings and annotations by Ronnie, which are exclusively available for this format. It also includes an exclusive essay by Paul Sexton, with DVD and Blu-ray of the documentary.
